Karios Forge

Karios Forge is the BMO management hub for bare-metal server provisioning and lifecycle management.

RBAC Prerequisite

Confirm with your administrator that your account has permission to access Forge and run node lifecycle actions.

Purpose

Use this section to onboard physical servers from Discovered to Configured using the canonical BMO stage flow below.

The full Forge user guide is organized as task-based runbooks and troubleshooting references. Those later sections are not additional lifecycle stages.

BMO At a Glance

Key concepts:

  • Discovered: server registered on network but not yet provisioned.

  • BMO Hardware Reveal: reveals hardware information for downstream systems.

  • Ready: server has completed hardware reveal and is ready for provisioning.

  • Provisioned: server has OS image applied (intermediate operational state).

  • Configured: fully configured server ready for production workloads.

  • BMC: out-of-band management interface for remote hardware control.

  • Supported vendors: Supermicro, Dell, HPE.

Lifecycle Flow

Use 4.4. BMO Stage Flow from Dashboard in the user guide as the canonical lifecycle map from Discovered through Configured.

Use 4.1. Read Summary Cards in the user guide as the canonical summary-card reference for Forge dashboard metrics.

Dashboard Actions

From the Forge dashboard, users can:

  • Review lifecycle stage counts.

  • Open node details from server row / eye icon.

  • Open node Console for live operation visibility.
